He'll Huff and He'll Puff

Rush is on the attack against no other than Fox News. And why? Because they caved on the Shirley Sherrod debacle. Shep Smith didn't bite and he turned out to be one of the few skeptical enough of Breibart to stay clear of this train wreck.

So, Limbaugh - sticking to his moral principles - blasts Fox and Smith for caving. In other words, everybody else is wrong and he will keep stomping his feet and holding his breath until he gets his way.

This is the republican strategy - double down on failure. They've been marginalized by a populace that has soundly rejected today's version of republicanism, so this is how they learn and adapt.

Look, I sit in an office all day and I listen to almost all of Rush and Hannity's shows each day. Usually, it's background noise, but sometimes they say and do things that gain my interest. But Limabugh wants it both ways and he's playing his audience for fools. He claims to be an entertainer. And he is - no question about it. But he also sets policy because nobody will stand up against not him, but his 10's of millions of followers. Cheney will come out of hiding and talk to Rush and suddenly, Rush is not an entertainer anymore. So when Rush gets popped in one of his episodes of stupidity, he hides behind the "entertainer" label.

Rush needs to sell ad space and he makes no apologies for that. He shouldn't - he's getting paid what his advertisers thinks he's worth - God bless America and capitalism. The problem is, he is getting it at the expense of the health of our country. He is another who is part of the problem - not the solution. If he were part of the solution, Obama probably would never have been elected. More people would have voted for republicans had Rush and his pack of phonies held the Bush administration to the same standards he holds Obama to.
