Think Progress has some pretty awesome video of republicans detailing how they can keep tax cuts from driving up the deficit by being specific about spending they want to cut.
I know - you had the point of that first sentence figured out before you were done reading it. Of course they didn't. The liberal mainstream media is asking Boehner, Pence, and Cantor - the most vocal of the fiscally demanding republicans - where they would cut spending. None of them have answered.
They can bitch and whine all they want about Obama, but they know - just like we know - that you have to cut the big ticket items - defense, social security, Medicare, etc - if you want to seriously reduce the deficit. Yet, not one of them have come forward with a specific plan. But they sure yell a lot.
The question they should be asking, is which presidents in modern history have cut taxes and reduced spending? Can they hold Obama to a standard set by republicans? Because by my last count, they'd have to go all the way back to Nixon.
C'mon boys, give us specifics - tell us where you are going to cut spending that would bring the deficit down.
